Why Solana #
Solana is where memecoin culture lives in 2026: sub-second trades, fees of a fraction of a cent, and the wallets, trading terminals, scanners and marketplaces a coin like this needs on day one. The crew's collectible card also depends on Solana tooling (Metaplex Core) that has no equivalent elsewhere at the same cost.
Why pump.fun #
In the thirty days to October 6, 2026, pump.fun created about 84% of new Solana launchpad tokens and about 88% of the ones that graduated to an open market. That is where the traders, the terminals and the "new pairs" feeds are. For an anonymous project with a small following, being where people already look matters more than any feature another launchpad offers.
Launching there also gives the token a structure nobody has to take on trust:
- No presale and no allocation. Every token is sold on the public curve. There is no mechanism for a team share.
- Liquidity that cannot be pulled. When the curve sells out, pump.fun moves the liquidity to PumpSwap and burns the LP tokens.
- No live authorities. pump.fun coins are created with mint and freeze authority already set to none.
What pump.fun does not do is stop bots. Fair launch covers what "fair" does and does not mean.
Identifying the real token #
Tickers are not unique on Solana. When we picked $GLITCH, eighteen other tokens already used it, almost all dead. There is also an unrelated token literally named Infinite Money Glitch ($IMG), and in the first week of October 2026 sixteen new copycats called Glitch or IMG appeared on DexScreener before we had launched anything.
So the rule is simple and absolute.
The only $GLITCH is the contract address shown at glitchonsol.com/#contract and pinned on @GlitchOnSolana_. Nothing else. Not a token with the same name, not a link in a DM, not a reply from an account with our picture.
Check it yourself #
At launch the home page switches to live on-chain checks, read straight from the chain: mint authority, freeze authority, transfer tax, risky token extensions, metadata and liquidity. Each row links to a tool where you can confirm it without trusting us.
- Solscan for the mint account, supply and authorities.
- RugCheck for a risk summary and holder distribution.
- Bubblemaps for wallet clusters.
- DexScreener for the chart and the pool.
If a number on the site ever disagrees with the chain, the chain is right. Please tell us.
Technical notes #
Solana has two token programs: the original SPL Token program and the newer Token-2022. $GLITCH is created the standard way, through pump.fun's website, which makes it a Token-2022 coin. pump.fun's Token-2022 coins carry only metadata: no transfer tax, no transfer hook, no live mint or freeze authority. For holders it behaves exactly like any other Solana token, and the mint account on Solscan shows it.
The one place the token program matters is the Glitch Card. Metaplex's standard burn-to-mint rule accepts only classic tokens, so the card checks the $GLITCH burn with a small co-signing service instead. The card page explains how that works and what it can and cannot do.
